Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Winston King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silas Doerksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doerksen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Breaking Benjamin - Believe kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doerksen shoots in and bounces King off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Doerksen looking to pass the guard.
Doerksen trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
Doerksen postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it.

Doerksen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Doerksen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now.

Doerksen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Doerksen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with King but King pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

King tries to clinch up but Doerksen circles away and keeps his distance.
King shoots and misses

and Doerksen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
King is trying to stand back up but Doerksen is controlling him

King tries to roll over but Doerksen keeps him under control.
King is controlling Doerksen's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Doerksen wants to take a breather but King is having none of it.
King is looking to control Doerksen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can King avoid being mounted?
Doerksen tries to pass the half guard into mount. King knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Doerksen looks gassed!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A punch combination from King misses.
Winston King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doerksen fails to land the takedown.

Doerksen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Doerksen drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Doerksen off! Doerksen jumps back into King's guard.

Doerksen working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. King turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Doerksen off and cradles King's limp body as Doerksen celebrates with his corner.
