This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 23 wins and 17 losses; Able Archer! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 46 wins and 27 losses; David Morrison! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Morrison is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Archer's half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Archer (0) vs (2) Morrison Archer is looking to improve his position.
Archer works his way to full guard. Good work.
Archer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Morrison stacks Archer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Morrison! Score +3 for passing guard: Archer (0) vs (5) Morrison Morrison tries to advance to mount but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Archer gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Morrison is looking to take a break and control but Archer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Morrison is pressing down on Archer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Archer is holding on for now. Archer is trying to get back to full guard. Morrison tries to pass to full mount but Archer defends it.

Archer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morrison gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Archer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Archer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Morrison wants to control from the top but Archer keeps moving. Morrison looking to pass the guard. Morrison trying to control the position from guard on top but Archer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Archer has his foot on Morrison's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morrison works his way back into a safe position though. Archer tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Archer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Archer is looking to cinch up a triangle. Morrison throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Archer's body to avoid the submission. Archer has instead reached around Morrison's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Archer arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
