This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 21 losses; Sirus Hughes! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 5 losses; Oenomaus Doctore!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Hughes misses with a takedown
and Doctore moves into the clinch.
Hughes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Doctore walks away with a smile on his face. Hughes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Doctore instigates a clinch.
Doctore gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hughes regains guard.

Doctore has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hughes has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Doctore is staying tight to Hughes's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Doctore has hold of Hughes's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hughes tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Doctore cranks the arm and Hughes screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hughes, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
