The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Ping clinches up with Steely and pushes him back against the cage. Ping is trying to trip Steely. He has hold of a leg but Steely is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ping persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Ping (2) vs (0) Steely Steely looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ping content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Steely has locked up a guillotine! Steely's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ping is holding on here and Steely must be using up a lot of energy. Ping has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Steely gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
