Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scrooge throws a half hearted mid kick.
Gunzala scores with the left hand. Scrooge knows he should have avoided that one.
Scrooge walks into a stiff left hand from Gunzala.

Scrooge looks for a takedown but Gunzala sprawls well.
Gunzala looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Scrooge shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gunzala as he jumps to the side.

Scrooge darts in and clinches Gunzala up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scrooge escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Scrooge dives in and grabs Gunzala's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gunzala pushes down on Scrooge's head and hops out.

Scrooge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gunzala doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gunzala manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Scrooge throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gunzala tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Scrooge is in Gunzala's guard.

Gunzala is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Scrooge feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
