Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Destro Vonstein (ranked 3111 p4p, 4051 weight class) and Albert Einstein (ranked 374 p4p, 467 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Destro Vonstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Albert Einstein!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Einstein gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vonstein to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Vonstein loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Einstein is controlling Vonstein's posture.
Vonstein looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Einstein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vonstein throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Einstein seems keen to control Vonstein's posture.
Vonstein could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Vonstein in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Einstein is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Einstein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vonstein. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Vonstein changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Einstein looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Vonstein is staying active underneath Einstein, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Einstein wants to take a breather but Vonstein is having none of it.

Vonstein moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Vonstein tries to lock up and control but Einstein gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Vonstein wants to hold on but Einstein pushes him away.
Vonstein tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Vonstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vonstein sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've been informed that Einstein has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Vonstein is refusing to be controlled, as Einstein sits in half guard.
Einstein is controlling the pace.
Einstein lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Destro Vonstein will probably get the nod.
That's time! Vonstein's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Einstein stuffs the takedown attempt from Vonstein. Vonstein gets slowly back to his feet.
And Einstein tries to counter it with a takedown but Vonstein pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vonstein throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Vonstein looking for a sweep. Not yet Vonstein, not yet.
Vonstein is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Einstein showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Einstein shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Albert Einstein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Einstein shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vonstein is trying to defend but Einstein finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Einstein looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vonstein with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Vonstein is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Einstein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Einstein's back!

Einstein stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vonstein swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Vonstein is looking for a sweep. Einstein is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Albert Einstein comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Einstein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
