Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edd Norton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Lucroy!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucroy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Norton but Norton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A left lands for Norton.
It looks like Jean Lucroy has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Norton. No joy for Lucroy on that attempt.
Norton throws out a loose jab but Lucroy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Norton lands with a nice combination. Lucroy backs away looking to recover.
Lucroy shoots for a double leg takedown but Norton sprawls well. He's pushed Lucroy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Edd Norton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Lucroy.
Nice uppercut lands for Norton. That snapped Lucroy's head back.
Lucroy staying out of range there.
Norton lands a jab to the head.
Norton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lucroy's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Norton throws a right hand that Lucroy ducks under and follows up with a left that Lucroy also avoids with ease.
Lucroy moves out of range of the strikes.
And Lucroy tries to counter it with a takedown but Norton pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Norton throws a hook but Lucroy blocks it.
Norton misses with an uppercut. Lucroy saw that one coming.
Norton throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Norton throws a looping overhand right but Lucroy ducks down to avoid it.
Norton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Norton cracks Lucroy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Norton cracks Lucroy with a hook to the temple - Lucroy is on wobbly legs here! Norton swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Lucroy falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Norton wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Edd Norton!
