Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aahil Mohammad (ranked 4601 p4p, 4807 weight class) and Kim Ponz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim Ponz is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aahil Mohammad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kim Ponz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ponz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Mohammad manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ponz on his heels. He'll look to pass Ponz's guard now, I'm sure. Ponz manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Aahil Mohammad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mohammad fails with the takedown. A left and a right from Ponz both land. Nice combination. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mohammad drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Ponz wants to get back to his feet but Mohammad is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mohammad is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ponz manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Mohammad wants to take the fight to the mat but Ponz manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Ponz is trying to break the clinch but Mohammad is controlling him. Ponz manages to break the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Mohammad wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aahil Mohammad. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mohammad tries for a takedown but Ponz manages to get underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ponz lands a nice uppercut. Ponz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ponz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mohammad. Mohammad decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mohammad scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mohammad is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ponz has hold of Mohammad's hands but Mohammad slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mohammad controlling the action here. Mohammad looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ponz can do anything to dispel that myth. Mohammad stalling. Mohammad lands strikes from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ponz wants to get back to his feet.
Ponz is in trouble now - Mohammad has advanced to mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mohammad with the ground and pound from mount. Ponz's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Ponz is bucking up trying to escape but Mohammad cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Mohammad with good strikes from the mount here! A big strike lands for Mohammad! That's really hurt Ponz and he's turned his back - Mohammad keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Mohammad jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
