Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Armando (ranked 1251 p4p, 2393 weight class) and Darryl Haze (ranked 166 p4p, 310 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darryl Haze !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Armando misses its intended target.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Haze working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Haze might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Armando haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Haze is looking to take a break and control but Armando is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Armando creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
