Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe FC (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe FC!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by FC or perhaps it was just good defense by Gonzales which made him look bad.
FC stuffs the takedown.
FC wants to clinch up but Gonzales keeps it at a distance.

Gonzales gets a clinch.
Gonzales fails to pull guard.
FC is trying to drag Gonzales to the mat but Gonzales just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
FC has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gonzales avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe FC. That's going to take a lot out of him.
FC struggles to land a body shot inside as Gonzales controls his hands.
Gonzales drops down looking for an ankle pick but FC pulls his leg out and moves away.
FC bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and FC counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gonzales won't be happy with that.

Gonzales tries to escape but FC is in control.
FC tries to move to mount but Gonzales blocks the move with his legs.
Gonzales trying to remain calm as FC controls from the top position.
FC is looking to take a break and control but Gonzales is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gonzales is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

FC decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gonzales to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
FC fails to land the takedown.
FC is breathing heavily.
Gonzales clinches but FC breaks the clinch

and FC counters with a shoot takedown. Gonzales fights it but they end up in guard.
FC preventing the sweep.
Gonzales is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

FC drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and FC jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gonzales keeping moving, preventing FC from controlling successfully.

Gonzales trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
FC stops Gonzales from standing up.
FC wants to control from the top but Gonzales keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
FC misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
FC has his takedown stuffed
and FC takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gonzales tries to clinch up but FC circles away and keeps his distance.
Gonzales misses with a double jab

and FC counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Gonzales wants to get back to full guard but FC has passed into side control.
FC is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gonzales can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gonzales can't escape the position.
FC wants to control the pace but Gonzales is squirming around nicely.
Gonzales is looking to get to half guard.
FC can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gonzales is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gonzales buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Joe FC is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gonzales wants to clinch.
FC looks to score with a jab to the body but Gonzales is just out of range.
FC misses with a takedown

and Gonzales counters with a nice double leg into side control. FC won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on FC's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
FC regains half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

FC has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gonzales is working away from the top position though.
Gonzales tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Gonzales moves into full mount! FC won't be happy about that!
FC tries to hold on but Gonzales pushes him away.
FC is trying desperately to improve position.
Gonzales lands a big shot there that rocks FC but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
FC is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
FC really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
FC wants to hold on but Gonzales pushes him away.
FC is trying to escape the mount.
Gonzales working away from the top, dropping strikes.
FC can't escape the position.
The referee warns FC that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
FC tries to hold on but Gonzales postures up.
Gonzales looking to control but FC is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
FC gets back to half guard.

FC looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
FC avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gonzales.
FC is trying to stand.
FC tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gonzales winds up and cracks FC with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Gonzales not landing any meaningful shots this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson Gonzales showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Gonzales tries to close the distance and clinch but FC swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

FC forces Gonzales back against the cage and clinches.
Gonzales pushes off an throws an elbow but FC leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
FC is trying to drag Gonzales to the mat but Gonzales just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gonzales tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
FC wants a takedown but no success here.

FC's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Gonzales counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gonzales.

Gonzales is looking to break free of the clinch but FC has double underhooks.
Gonzales prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gonzales wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Gonzales can't break the clinch.
FC landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

FC successfully pulls guard.
Gonzales is looking to stand up but FC won't let him.
Gonzales with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

FC striking off his back, scoring a few points.
FC keeping moving, preventing Gonzales from controlling successfully.
FC tries to land a sweep but no joy.
FC trying to keep a closed guard but Gonzales is proving a slippery customer.

Gonzales closes the distance and clinches up with FC, looking for a takedown. Gonzales pushes FC against the cage but FC circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

No luck for Gonzales with that takedown attempt.
No luck for FC with that takedown attempt.
FC fails to land the takedown.
Gonzales tries to clinch but FC is having none of it.
Gonzales throws a shot from downtown. FC moves away and avoids it.

FC shoots in but Gonzales avoids the takedown attempt easily.
FC throws a lazy head kick

and Gonzales counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in FC's guard now.

FC working for a triangle but Gonzales defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
FC pulls Gonzales in close to prevent any damage.
FC has a closed guard, preventing Gonzales from standing up.
FC manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gonzales manages to get himself to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jackson Gonzales comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gonzales has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
