This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 14 losses; Artur Azaryan! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Ottke shoots in looking for a takedown but Azaryan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ottke's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ottke misses with a takedown attempt - Azaryan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ottke shoots in looking for a takedown. Azaryan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Azaryan has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at CT. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
