Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Pierre Archambeau (ranked 2501 p4p, 2382 weight class) and Tim Orsetti (ranked 324 p4p, 306 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Pierre Archambeau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Orsetti!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Orsetti.
Archambeau tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Orsetti manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Orsetti avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Orsetti lands a jab to the head.
Orsetti ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Archambeau moves away.

Archambeau shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Archambeau passes into side control, despite Orsetti's attempt to control the position.

Orsetti tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Archambeau easily slips into full mount!
Orsetti wants to control but Archambeau is having none of it.

Orsetti felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

You can see the frustration on Orsetti's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Archambeau seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Orsetti for as long as he can get away with.
Orsetti rolls, trying to escape but Archambeau keeps control of the position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Archambeau controlling the positon.
Orsetti is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Archambeau off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Archambeau keeps control of the position as Orsetti tries to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Orsetti turns into Archambeau and is now in his guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Orsetti throws an elbow that misses. Archambeau uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Orsetti's guard. Nice move by Archambeau!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Tim Orsetti is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Orsetti is controlling an arm, preventing Archambeau from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Orsetti is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Orsetti tries to control Archambeau's body but Archambeau pushes him off. Orsetti squirms to his side and now Archambeau has his back!
Archambeau just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Archambeau is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Orsetti can do to turn this around?

Archambeau has the hooks in. Orsetti is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Archambeau is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Orsetti defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Orsetti is in bad spot here.
Orsetti manages to reverse the position and now he's in Archambeau's guard. Nice work there by Orsetti.
Archambeau is pulling down on Orsetti's head. It's preventing any offense from Orsetti, at least for the moment.

Archambeau working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Orsetti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Orsetti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Archambeau is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Orsetti has his hands clasped together but Archambeau extends and breaks Orsetti's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Archambeau.
