Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Brand (ranked 2273 p4p, 1778 weight class) and Tom Breedon (ranked 75 p4p, 50 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Brand! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Tom Breedon! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Breedon or perhaps it was just good defense by Brand, which made it look bad. It looked like Brand was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Breedon. No luck for Breedon with that takedown attempt. Brand misses with a wild body shot. Breedon shoots in and drives through. Brand sprawls well. Daniel Brand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Breedon. Breedon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee asks Breedon politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Breedon prefers to stall for the moment though. Brand pushes Breedon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Breedon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Brand trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Breedon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Breedon taking a breather here. Breedon prevents Brand from escaping the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Breedon moves into full mount! Brand knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Breedon on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brand is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Breedon working the ground and pound effectively.
Brand tries to buck Breedon off but he can't manage it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Breedon content just to control the position here. Brand's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Breedon sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Breedon can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brand is looking to escape. Breedon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Brand tries to buck Breedon off but he can't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breedon lands a big shot there that rocks Brand but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Breedon misses with a head shot. Brand bucks Breedon off and manages to get back to his feet! Breedon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Breedon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brand is trying to defend but Breedon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brand is looking to escape. Brand keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Breedon trying to pass the guard but Brand defending well. Breedon seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Brand wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Breedon wants to control but Brand is keeping him busy. Brand manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Breedon keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Brand prevents a takedown attempt there.
Breedon tries for a takedown. No joy.
Breedon is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Brand is defending well. Breedon turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Sloppy strikes there by Breedon. Brand is pushing Breedon's head away, looking to escape. Breedon manages to hold on to the position though. Breedon takes a little break here. Brand wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Brand wants to get back to his feet. Breedon lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Breedon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brand sneaks out the side door and pushes Breedon away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brand connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Breedon's hands. Breedon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Breedon looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Brand wants to stand but Breedon is controlling the position. Breedon scoring with some ground and pound. Breedon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Breedon is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Brand will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Brand takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tom Breedon will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Breedon misses with a takedown attempt - Brand sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Brand went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Breedon looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brand is trying to stand.
Breedon wants to pass the guard but Brand is defending well. Brand is trying to stand back up but Breedon is controlling him
Breedon wants to control but Brand is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Breedon is working for a submission of some sort.

Breedon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brand is just riding it out for now. Breedon eventually gives up the hold. Brand tries to kick Breedon off but Breedon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Breedon controlling the action here. Brand is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Daniel Brand is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Breedon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brand's guard. Breedon trying to control but Brand is working from the bottom. Breedon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Brand wants to get back to his feet but Breedon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breedon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Brand wants to stand but Breedon is controlling the position. Breedon wants to control from the top but Brand keeps moving. Breedon sitting in guard here, content to control. Breedon trying to control but Brand is working from the bottom. Breedon stops Brand from standing up.

Breedon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brand's waist but Brand gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Breedon off to one side. Breedon moves out of range of the strikes. Tom Breedon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Breedon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Breedon shoots in for a double leg but Brand sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Daniel Brand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Breedon. Brand looks to land a right hand but Breedon moved out of range. Breedon avoids the body shot from Brand.
Breedon shoots in and drives through. Brand sprawls well. Brand jabs at Breedon's body. Breedon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Brand cracks Breedon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Brand lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Breedon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brand sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Breedon somewhat. Breedon shoots in but Brand avoids the takedown attempt easily. Breedon is breathing heavily. A big left from Brand misses. As Brand backs off Breedon throws a huge counter combo but Brand manages to avoid it all. Breedon dives in and grabs Brand's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brand pushes down on Breedon's head and hops out. Breedon fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brand ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Breedon walks into a straight right hand from Brand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brand throws the left hand but Breedon avoids the punch easily. Breedon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brand swivels and escapes. Breedon misses with a takedown attempt and Brand counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Breedon has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Brand finds it's way round the side to connect with Breedon's head. Brand digs a good hook to Breedon's body.
Donk. Brand catches Breedon right on the button with a cross. Brand steps into range and cracks Breedon with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Breedon flops backwards and Brand dives into his guard looking to finish!
Breedon is rocked! Brand wants to stand but Breedon is controlling his posture from full guard. Breedon is still in real trouble! Can Brand finish him? And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Brand dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Brand paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Breedon seems to have recovered his senses. Breedon shoots in but Brand avoids the takedown attempt easily. Brand is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Breedon can do to turn this around? Brand throws a nice looking combination but Breedon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brand cracks Breedon with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Brand moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Breedon goes down! Can Brand finish him!? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brand wants to stand but Breedon is controlling his posture from full guard. Brand stopping the sweep attempt from Breedon. Brand stands up from Breedon's guard - Brand perhaps looking for a knockout. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Brand! Breedon is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
