Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Laural (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana has chosen Killer in me as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roman Santana! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laural fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Santana sprawls well initially but Laural persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Santana is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Laural pulls his head out easily. Santana looking for submissions off his back. Santana looking for submissions off his back. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Santana can do anything to dispel that myth. The two fighters exchange a few words. Santana Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Laural's back instead. Laural fending off the submission attempt from Santana. Laural is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Santana gets his way!
