Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Artemis Bray (ranked 1392 p4p, 2635 weight class) and Pate Hunt (ranked 78 p4p, 171 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Artemis Bray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pate Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bray tries for a takedown but Hunt circles away easily
and Hunt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bray gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Hunt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bray slips a jab and a cross from Hunt.
Hunt blocks the body kick.
Hunt throws out a counter right but Bray avoids it with no problem.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hunt crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bray - the referee stops the clock and Hunt gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bray. Hunt manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bray has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Bray looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hunt is fending him off so far but Bray persists. Nope, Hunt circles away and we're back to standing.

Donk. Hunt catches Bray right on the button with a cross.
Bray takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It seemed like Hunt was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hunt looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Bray takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hunt is looking to improve his position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hunt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bray is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hunt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hunt as he jumps to the side.

Let's hope that Hunt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hunt is pulling down on Bray's head. It's preventing any offense from Bray, at least for the moment.

Bray sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hunt's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
