Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chett Baker (ranked 3809 p4p, 4597 weight class) and Armod Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chett Baker !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Armod Svensson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Chett Baker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Svensson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Baker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Svensson sprawls well initially but Baker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Baker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Svensson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baker . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Svensson tries to roll over but Baker keeps him under control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Svensson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Chett Baker dominated that round.

Svensson takes a swing at Baker 's ribcage but misses.
Baker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Svensson sprawls well. Svensson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Baker gets slowly back to his feet.

Baker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Svensson but Svensson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Svensson parries the strikes from Baker easily there. Baker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Svensson to escape.
Baker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Svensson some visible discomfort.
Baker postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Svensson is bucking up trying to escape but Baker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Armod Svensson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
