Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Old Leg Tartakov (ranked 3235 p4p, 3382 weight class) and Mac Anudo (ranked 407 p4p, 420 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Old Leg Tartakov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mac Anudo! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anudo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tartakov appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Tartakov dives in and grabs Anudo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anudo pushes down on Tartakov's head and hops out. Tartakov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Tartakov avoids the body shot from Anudo.
Anudo shoots in but no luck this time. Tartakov shoots in and drives through. Anudo sprawls well. Anudo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Tartakov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Anudo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Anudo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tartakov keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anudo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Anudo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Anudo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tartakov's head. Anudo tries to pass to full mount but Tartakov defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anudo prevents Tartakov from improving his position. Anudo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tartakov defending well though. Anudo seems to be working for a kimura but Tartakov defends the submission attempt. Anudo is trying to control. Tartakov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tartakov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Tartakov regains full guard. Nicely done. Anudo preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anudo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tartakov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tartakov keeping moving, preventing Anudo from controlling successfully. Anudo postures up in Tartakov's guard and throws a big left but Tartakov blocks it. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Anudo lying in Tartakov's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Tartakov decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Anudo taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Old Leg Tartakov! Old Leg Tartakov seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
