Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Wills (ranked 3218 p4p, 5845 weight class) and Mark Dashark (ranked 107 p4p, 191 weight class). Wills comes to the cage accompanied by I don't fault the police by Corporate Avenger . Dashark has chosen Big shark by BEACH BOYS as his entrance music. Mark Dashark will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matt Wills! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Dashark! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dashark. Dashark tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wills swivels and escapes. Wills fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dashark changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wills looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wills is not content to let Dashark control the position. Wills tries to bench press Dashark off him but Dashark keeps the position. Wills on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wills tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wills keeps Dashark under control for a moment. Wills sneaks back into half guard. Wills moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dashark content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Wills is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dashark is working Wills over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Wills definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dashark is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wills is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dashark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dashark won't allow Wills to sweep him here. Dashark chips away with some ground and pound. Dashark is working Wills over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Wills has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dashark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wills had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dashark defends it easily. Wills working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dashark. Wills could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wills keeping moving, preventing Dashark from controlling successfully. Wills bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dashark's guard. Dashark looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wills is one step ahead there. Dashark seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Wills throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dashark works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wills passes into half guard. Wills is looking to stall here but Dashark recovers full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mark Dashark dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Dashark shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wills pinned against the cage. Wills gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wills waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dashark. Wills uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dashark. Wills tries to counter with a takedown but Dashark is quick to defend against it. Wills shoots and misses and Dashark counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Mark Dashark has got the better of the ground game so far. Wills punching from the bottom.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wills with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Wills is looking to control Dashark's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wills avoid being mounted? Dashark sitting and controlling from the half guard. Wills looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dashark seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Matt Wills's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Dashark is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Wills's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
