Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between The Islander (ranked 5907 p4p, 5772 weight class) and Daniel Dubois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Dubois has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with The Islander's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, The Islander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Dubois! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Dubois shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Islander napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dubois wants to control but Islander is keeping him busy. Islander is looking for a sweep. Dubois trying to control the action but Islander is working from the bottom. Islander is trying to improve his position. Dubois goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Islander rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dubois's guard! Nice work there by Islander! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Islander engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Islander continues to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. More hug and hope from Islander. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dubois is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Islander is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Islander slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dubois is looking to reverse the position. Dubois is being controlled here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dubois can do anything to dispel that myth. Dubois prevents Islander from moving into mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Islander happy to just control the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Islander leaves Dubois with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. It looked like Islander wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Dubois shoots in for a double leg but Islander sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. It looked like Islander was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Dubois. Dubois feints and as Islander raises his hands in defense, Dubois changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dubois being controlled here momentarily. Islander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dubois trying to control but Islander is working from the bottom. Islander keeping full guard, as Dubois tries to pass. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dubois advances to half guard. Dubois looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Daniel Dubois will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Islander keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dubois fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dubois fails with the takedown and Islander cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The Islander is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dubois shoots for a takedown but Islander saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The Islander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Dubois.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dubois tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Islander swivels and escapes. Dubois shoots for a takedown but Islander saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dubois with a lazy takedown attempt and Islander cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Daniel Dubois seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dubois fails to land the takedown. Islander appears to be looking for a big counter. Dubois closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Islander is controlling Dubois's position as best he can from this difficult position. Dubois is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dubois is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Islander! Islander is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Islander is working hard here to advance position. Dubois trying to control but he's not successful this time. Dubois looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Dubois with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Islander is looking to improve his position but Dubois isn't that keen on the idea. Dubois throws some wild stikes that Islander manages to avoid easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dubois working for a guillotine from mount but Islander is in no mood to give up. Islander tries to hold on but Dubois pushes him away. Dubois seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Islander is holding on tight.

Dubois misses with a head shot. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Islander is working to get back to half guard.
Dubois stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Dubois fails with the takedown and Islander counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Dubois showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Dubois tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A counter left hand to the body from Islander misses its target. Dubois with a poor takedown and Islander counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Dubois has his takedown stuffed and Islander counters with a crisp right that sends Dubois to the canvas! Islander follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). The Islander!
