Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sultanbek Akhtankhanov (ranked 1657 p4p, 751 weight class) and Jakob Rolf (ranked 218 p4p, 104 weight class). Rolf has chosen AVGN Theme Song as his entrance music. Jakob Rolf is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sultanbek Akhtankhanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jakob Rolf! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rolf swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Akhtankhanov throws a leg kick and Rolf cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rolf looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Akhtankhanov throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rolf. Rolf takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Akhtankhanov blocks a jab. Akhtankhanov scores with a jab to the body. Rolf walks into a left hand. Rolf moves out of range as Akhtankhanov strikes. Rolf misses the jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rolf has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Rolf drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rolf gets to mount! Akhtankhanov was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Akhtankhanov prevents Rolf from taking his back. Akhtankhanov wants to hold on but Rolf pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rolf is trying to take his opponent's back.
Rolf is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Akhtankhanov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Akhtankhanov shrugs it off. Akhtankhanov sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Rolf trying to control the action but Akhtankhanov is working from the bottom. Akhtankhanov is positioning himself well to prevent Rolf advancing to mount. Rolf is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Akhtankhanov is defending against the submission attempts here by Rolf.
Rolf passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Akhtankhanov! Rolf working for a guillotine from mount but Akhtankhanov is in no mood to give up. Rolf wants to control the pace but Akhtankhanov is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rolf takes Akhtankhanov's back. Rolf tries to keep control of the position but Akhtankhanov is staying busy. Rolf looking for the choke but no joy. Rolf looking for the RNC. Rolf looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Akhtankhanov taps!
