Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guilherme Tamega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sushibaby. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tamega should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tamega moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Silva gets to his feet - Tamega follows without any prompting.
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Silva forces Tamega back against the cage and clinches.

Tamega shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.

Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tamega swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tamega wants to clinch
and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tamega's guard.

Tamega manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva wants to hold on but Tamega pushes him away.
Tamega thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Tamega blocks Silva's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tamega knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Tamega tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Silva has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Silva lands a big shot there that rocks Tamega but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Silva is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tamega can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That has opened up Guilherme Tamega's cut even more.
Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tamega's face.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Guilherme Tamega's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
