Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Big Daddy (ranked 2569 p4p, 3354 weight class) and Mitsu Misawa (ranked 332 p4p, 416 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Big Daddy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitsu Misawa! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Misawa tries to clinch up. Misawa drives through and clinches with Daddy against the cage.
Nice body punch from Misawa - that landed with a thud.
Misawa lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Misawa gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Misawa effectively controlling the action here. Daddy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Misawa just stands there and leans against the cage. Misawa lands a nice elbow. Misawa lands a damaging elbow. Daddy lands a takedown into guard.
Daddy has gone for a leg lock! Misawa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Daddy's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Daddy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Misawa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Daddy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Misawa escapes and throws Daddy's legs to the side, diving into side control! Daddy is trying to control Misawa's posture but Misawa avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Misawa tries to move into full mount but can't pass Daddy's legs. Misawa slows the pace down. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daddy wants to control but Misawa postures up. Daddy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Misawa's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Daddy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The fighters are battling for position here. Daddy manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Misawa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Misawa is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Daddy has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Misawa is looking to defend but Daddy has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Misawa! Daddy pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Misawa taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Big Daddy! During a confident post fight interview, Big Daddy thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
