Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konstantin The Russian Giant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paulo Jaques!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Russian Giant misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jaques tries a quick counter leg kick but The Russian Giant is wise to it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jaques.
Jaques doesn't succeed with the takedown
and The Russian Giant counters by moving into the clinch.
Jaques jumps guard and drags The Russian Giant to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jaques controls The Russian Giant momentarily but The Russian Giant frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jaques has his foot on The Russian Giant's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. The Russian Giant works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Russian Giant works over Jaques with some ground and pound from guard.
Jaques has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Russian Giant can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jaques looking for submissions from the bottom but instead The Russian Giant passes into half guard.

Jaques is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but The Russian Giant pulls his head out easily.
The Russian Giant working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Jaques wants to improve his position but The Russian Giant is controlling well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. The Russian Giant connects with a nice short shot to Jaques's temple.

Jaques wants to get back to full guard.

The Russian Giant is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The Russian Giant is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jaques is just riding it out for now. The Russian Giant eventually gives up the hold.
Jaques has hold of The Russian Giant's hands but The Russian Giant slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with The Russian Giant in particular looking to stall.
The Russian Giant decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
The Russian Giant rushes Jaques and presses him up against the cage.
The Russian Giant tries to pull guard but Jaques won't allow it.

The Russian Giant dodges an elbow strike from Jaques.
The Russian Giant has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jaques after a bit of a struggle.
Jaques jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Russian Giant walks away with a smile on his face. Jaques gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Konstantin The Russian Giant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Jaques.

Jaques shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jaques changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Russian Giant tries to avoid it but Jaques manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Russian Giant to the ground. The Russian Giant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jaques blocks a head kick by The Russian Giant.
Jaques dives in and grabs The Russian Giant's left leg, looking for a takedown. The Russian Giant pushes down on Jaques's head and hops out.
The Russian Giant looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jaques!
The Russian Giant wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jaques, who protects the arm well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jaques can't do much from the bottom here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Konstantin The Russian Giant dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The Russian Giant swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jaques fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but The Russian Giant avoids it really well and circles away.
The Russian Giant seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jaques throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The Russian Giant shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jaques napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jaques sneaks out the side door and pushes The Russian Giant away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Jaques gets tackled into the cage by The Russian Giant. The Russian Giant maintains the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jaques goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The Russian Giant gets underhooks to prevent Jaques's takedown attempt.
Jaques misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from The Russian Giant.
Jaques is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Jaques is breathing heavily.

The Russian Giant manages to break the clinch.

It looks like Paulo Jaques has been cut.
The Russian Giant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The Russian Giant throws a right and a left that Jaques avoids nicely.

The Russian Giant prevents Jaques from breaking the clinch.
Jaques jumps guard but The Russian Giant stands there with Jaques around his waist. Jaques gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The Russian Giant tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jaques just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jaques breaks from the clinch.

Jaques shoots in for a double leg but The Russian Giant sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The Russian Giant connects with a nice cross there... Jaques is looking wobbly and The Russian Giant recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Jaques to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - The Russian Giant jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Konstantin The Russian Giant!
Konstantin The Russian Giant got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
