Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Nitro (ranked 2849 p4p, 4052 weight class) and Eric Draven (ranked 375 p4p, 512 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eric Draven was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draven digs a good body shot into Nitro's ribs.

Draven jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nitro walks away with a smile on his face. Draven gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Draven fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nitro on the side of the head.
Draven takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Draven is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Nitro had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Draven closes the distance and clinches.
Nitro stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Nitro wants to pass the guard but Draven is keeping the position.

Draven slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Draven swings around for an armbar but Nitro sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Draven's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nitro will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Well Draven has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
