Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr Pervitin (ranked 1466 p4p, 2160 weight class) and Bofur Widenose (ranked 216 p4p, 316 weight class). Mr Pervitin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Widenose takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pervitin throws an off balance right hand

and Widenose counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Widenose is trying to control. Pervitin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Pervitin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Pervitin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Pervitin has his foot on Widenose's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Widenose works his way back into a safe position though.

Widenose has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Widenose is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pervitin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Widenose.

Pervitin wants to control but Widenose is keeping busy.
Pervitin is refusing to be controlled, as Widenose sits in half guard.
Pervitin is pressing down on Widenose's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Pervitin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Widenose lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Pervitin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Widenose manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Widenose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pervitin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pervitin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Widenose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pervitin.
And Widenose tries to counter it with a takedown but Pervitin pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Pervitin misses with a two punch combination.

Widenose on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pervitin lands a really nice looking cross but Widenose seems unphased.

Widenose changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
