Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdo Farah (ranked 3284 p4p, 3001 weight class) and Udonis Okoro (ranked 449 p4p, 418 weight class). Okoro has chosen The HU - Sad But True as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Udonis Okoro enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Abdo Farah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Udonis Okoro!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farah throws a low kick but Okoro moves out of range easily.

Okoro rushes Farah and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A shot in the inside from Farah.
Farah misses with a punch on the inside.
Farah works on Okoro's body with a couple of short punches.
Okoro struggles to land a body shot inside as Farah controls his hands.
Okoro slowing the pace effectively.
Farah lands with a short shot to the head.
Still in the clinch, Farah scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Okoro.
Okoro stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Okoro fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Farah manages to break the clinch.

Okoro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Okoro misses with some punches.

Okoro jumps guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Okoro wants to control but Farah passes easily into half guard.
Okoro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Farah performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Farah continues to stall.
Farah is thwarting Okoro's attempts to control the position.
Okoro controlling the position for now.
Farah wants to pass to mount but Okoro is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Okoro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Okoro wants to improve his position but Farah is controlling well.
Farah perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Okoro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Okoro trying to control here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Udonis Okoro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Okoro tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Farah counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've been told by Farah's head coaches at King's Cross MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Okoro slips a straight right by Farah.

Okoro closes the distance and clinches.
Okoro wants to take the fight to the mat but Farah manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A short right from Farah on the inside.
Farah lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Farah.

Farah's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Farah misses with a body shot.
Okoro changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Okoro avoids the body shot from Farah.
A nice leg kick lands there from Farah.
Okoro has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Okoro walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Farah circles away from the clinch attempt
and Farah counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Farah lands a jab to Okoro's midsection.
Farah fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Okoro manages to avoid it.
Okoro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Farah.
Okoro changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Okoro bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Okoro wants to clinch but Farah slips to the side
and Farah cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Abdo Farah dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Farah punishes Okoro's body with a nice straight punch.
Farah tests Okoro's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Okoro tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Farah counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Okoro is rocked!
Farah scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Okoro tries to clinch
and Farah counters with a slapping leg kick.
Okoro glances at the clock... BAM! Farah nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Okoro crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Okoro is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Abdo Farah!
Abdo Farah was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
