Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikai Rosario (ranked 4645 p4p, 4697 weight class) and Josh Koscheck (ranked 566 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikai Rosario! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Josh Koscheck! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosario tries a head kick but it misses.
Rosario tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koscheck swivels and escapes. Rosario shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Koscheck has one foot on Rosario's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Koscheck takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Koscheck on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
This has been an exciting period of action! Koscheck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rosario sprawls well initially but Koscheck persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Rosario manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Koscheck controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rosario manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koscheck misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rosario.
Rosario shoots in looking for a takedown but Koscheck manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rosario's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Koscheck dives in and scores a takedown into Rosario's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rosario is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rosario knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koscheck on the ground. Koscheck lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Koscheck advances position into side control! Rosario is trying to improve his position. Koscheck wants to stand but Rosario has his arm trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koscheck happy to just control the position for now. Koscheck working the ground and pound. Koscheck controls the position from side control. Rosario bucks up and tries to throw Koscheck off but instead Koscheck has got his back! Koscheck is riding his opponent, not letting Rosario buck him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosario rolls, trying to escape but Koscheck keeps control of the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Koscheck is trying to stick to Rosario's back but Rosario is turning into Koscheck. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Koscheck's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rosario. Koscheck looking for a sweep. Not yet Koscheck, not yet. Rosario will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Koscheck trying to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koscheck throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rosario being controlled here momentarily. Koscheck looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rosario passes into half guard.
Rosario is looking to take a break and control but Koscheck is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Koscheck is concentrating on defense, preventing Rosario from advancing position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Josh Koscheck will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Rosario throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Koscheck was covering up waiting for the punch and Rosario finishes the takedown easily into guard. Koscheck has Rosario pulled in close to control his posture. Koscheck is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. It looks like Koscheck is going to stand back up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Koscheck is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rosario! Koscheck with good strikes from the mount here! Rosario is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Koscheck goes for an armbar but Rosario turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rosario. Rosario has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Koscheck to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rosario is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Koscheck pulls down on the head and he's put Rosario to sleep! This one is all over!
