Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kataro Kimura (ranked 3468 p4p, 4201 weight class) and Tyson Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kataro Kimura has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kataro Kimura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyson Brown! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimura decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kimura wants to pass to mount but Brown is defending the position. Kimura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground. Brown trying to hold on to Kimura's head to control him but Kimura postures up.

Brown looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kimura looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Brown is looking for a sweep. Kimura is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Brown gets caught napping as Kimura dives in and scores a takedown. Brown manages to retain guard. Brown looking for subs off his back but Kimura has passed one foot through into half guard.

Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Brown wants to control but Kimura is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kimura looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brown makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kataro Kimura dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kimura feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, Kimura changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kimura avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kataro Kimura overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kimura pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brown is keeping the position for now. Brown looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. We've been told by Kimura's head coaches at Simply The Best that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kimura closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brown did well to prevent Kimura getting side control. Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kimura controlling the action here. Brown wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kimura pulls his head out easily. Kimura looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kimura is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brown can do to turn this around? Brown is in trouble now - Kimura has advanced to mount! Brown is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown tries to lock up and control but Kimura gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Brown is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kimura is staying active. Kimura tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brown wants to hold on but Kimura pushes him away. Kimura controlling his opponent. Kimura prevents Brown from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Brown wants to control but Kimura is having none of it. Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't. Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brown is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kataro Kimura dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Brown pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kimura drives through with a takedown into Brown's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Brown controls Kimura momentarily but Kimura frees himself. Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kimura is one step ahead there. Brown working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kimura slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Brown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kimura stacks Brown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kimura! Brown tries to improve position but can't. Kimura gets to mount! Brown was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

And that's the end of the fight! Kataro Kimura showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kimura, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
