The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Shakes rushes Jackson and presses him up against the cage.
Shakes tries to pull guard but Jackson holds him up against the cage and eventually Shakes drops back down to his feet.
Shakes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Shakes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Jackson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
