This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Brian Baker! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Hick Diaz! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Baker, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Baker against the cage but Baker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Baker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Diaz manages to circle out of the way. Baker clinches up with Diaz and pushes him back against the cage. Diaz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Diaz tries to score a body lock takedown but Baker shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Brian Baker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hick Diaz. Baker gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Diaz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Baker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Diaz has Baker in his guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Diaz is on top in guard.

He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Diaz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Baker has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Diaz is stalling in the full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Baker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
