Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyres Widforss (ranked 3255 p4p, 3182 weight class) and Simon Says (ranked 324 p4p, 317 weight class). Simon Says will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Says!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ron Honeybunn and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Says waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Widforss.
Tyres Widforss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice jab there from Says.
Says throws a series of punches but Widforss moves out of range.
Widforss darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Says avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Widforss.
Widforss thows a huge punch but Says dodges it nicely.
Widforss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Says on the ground.
Widforss tries to pass to full mount but Says defends it.
Says wants to control but Widforss is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Widforss working over Says with some ground and pound. Says looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Says is refusing to be controlled, as Widforss sits in half guard.
Widforss thows an elbow strike that misses. Says gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Widforss doesn't seem too bothered but Says quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Widforss is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Widforss really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
