Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Topper Green.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Werner defends well and Anderson ends up having to push Werner into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Werner jumps guard and drags Anderson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Anderson drops back looking for a leg! Werner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Werner manages to kick Anderson off! Anderson jumps back into Werner's guard.

Anderson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Werner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Werner has escaped and now he's on top!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson wants to stand up but Werner is controlling him.

Werner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Anderson wants to hit a sweep here but Werner passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Anderson there!

Werner cracks Anderson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Anderson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Werner lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Werner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Werner wants to stand but Anderson is controlling his posture from full guard.

Werner tries to free his leg and advance position but Anderson is retaining full guard.
Werner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Werner wants to stand but Anderson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Anderson pushes a forearm under Werner's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Werner is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
