Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Barreto (ranked 4525 p4p, 6790 weight class) and Florentius Scheuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rafael Barreto has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rafael Barreto seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Barreto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Florentius Scheuss!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scheuss dives in and grabs Barreto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barreto pushes down on Scheuss's head and hops out.
Scheuss shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barreto sprawls well. Barreto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Scheuss gets slowly back to his feet.
Barreto darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scheuss has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barreto is working away from the top position though.

Scheuss works his way to full guard. Good work.
Barreto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Barreto is in close to Scheuss's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Scheuss is looking to cinch up a triangle. Barreto throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Scheuss's body to avoid the submission. Scheuss has instead reached around Barreto's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Scheuss arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Florentius Scheuss!
During a confident post fight interview, Florentius Scheuss thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
