Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Salter (ranked 5841 p4p, 3981 weight class) and Kyle Kristian Galeos (ranked 472 p4p, 380 weight class). Salter's entrance music is Dead Or Alive. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Salter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Kristian Galeos! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Galeos.
A left and a right from Galeos both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Sam Salter has been cut. Kyle Kristian Galeos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Salter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Galeos is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Galeos has his hands on Salter's head, controlling the position. Galeos keeping moving, preventing Salter from controlling successfully. Galeos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Salter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Galeos looking for a guillotine here but Salter defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Salter trying to control the position from guard on top but Galeos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Galeos looking for a sweep. Not yet Galeos, not yet. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Salter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Galeos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Salter, into his guard. Galeos wants to pass the guard but Salter is keeping the position. Salter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Galeos controls the pace. Galeos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Galeos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Galeos stalling. Salter looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Salter trying to control from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Salter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Galeos looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Salter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Galeos scores with a couple of nice shots. Galeos is keen to just control but Salter is a slippery customer. Salter looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Galeos is nestled in close to Salter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Galeos lands with a punch from half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Kristian Galeos dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sam Salter's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Galeos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salter. Salter shoots for a double leg takedown but Galeos sprawls well. He's pushed Salter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Salter has his takedown stuffed and Galeos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Salter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salter looks for a takedown but Galeos sprawls well. As Salter backs off Galeos throws a huge counter combo but Salter manages to avoid it all. Galeos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Salter moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Galeos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salter. Sam Salter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Galeos drops Salter with a beautiful combination! Salter stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Galeos is looking for the KO!
Salter is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Galeos swinging wildly here.
Oh Salter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Salter fails with the takedown. Salter seems to have got his legs back now. Galeos is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Galeos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Salter appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Salter tries for a takedown but Galeos circles away easily and Galeos counters with a left and a right... And another left! Salter is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
