Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Smoke Junior (ranked 5597 p4p, 5045 weight class) and Tim Riggins (ranked 298 p4p, 274 weight class). Riggins has chosen Devil Town as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggins shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Junior connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Junior looks to score with a jab to the body but Riggins is just out of range.
Junior really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Riggins ducks under a wild hook from Junior.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riggins.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riggins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Junior throws a right and a left that both miss.
Riggins shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Junior is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Junior is staying active underneath Riggins, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Junior holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Junior pushes Riggins off, looking to escape but Riggins dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Junior is forced to tap! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tim Riggins!
After the fight, Tim Riggins was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
