Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Goran Acker (ranked 4067 p4p, 3350 weight class) and Vergil Ortiz Jr (ranked 489 p4p, 418 weight class). Ortiz Jr has chosen Vergil Ortiz - Future Champ (Highlights / Knockouts) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acker moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ortiz Jr throws a body punch but Acker moves out of range.
Ortiz Jr looks to land a combination but Acker avoids it well.
Ortiz Jr ducks under a wild hook from Acker.
Sloppy strikes from Ortiz Jr. Those never looked like landing.
Acker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ortiz Jr's head.
It looks like Vergil Ortiz Jr has been cut.
Ortiz Jr misses with a combination
and Acker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ortiz Jr is rocked!
Vergil Ortiz Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Acker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ortiz Jr throws a lazy uppercut
and Acker counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Acker misses with a looping left.
Ortiz Jr throws a shot from downtown. Acker moves away and avoids it.
Acker scores with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Acker punishes Ortiz Jr's body with a nice straight punch.
Ortiz Jr misses with a series of wild punches.

Ortiz Jr throws a looping overhand right but Acker ducks down to avoid it.
Acker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ortiz Jr.

and Acker counters with a crisp right hand that drops Ortiz Jr! Acker lets Ortiz Jr back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Ortiz Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Acker finish him?
A lazy left from Acker finds it's target.
Ortiz Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Acker was well out of range. Poor timing from Ortiz Jr.
Ortiz Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Acker circles away quickly and effectively.
Ortiz Jr seems to have recovered his senses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Acker lands a big right hand that sends Ortiz Jr crashing to the mat! Acker stays standing though and waves Ortiz Jr back to his feet!
Acker throws an uppercut from hell that sends Ortiz Jr clean off his feet! He's out cold! Acker stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
