Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu (ranked 1470 p4p, 2331 weight class) and Richmond Belvedere (ranked 79 p4p, 251 weight class). Fukumitsu comes to the cage accompanied by YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL (AIZZO Remix). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richmond Belvedere!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukumitsu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Belvedere counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fukumitsu looks to land a right hand but Belvedere moved out of range.
Fukumitsu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Belvedere counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Belvedere.

Fukumitsu wants to get back to his feet but Belvedere is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fukumitsu has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Fukumitsu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Belvedere is controlling him.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

and Belvedere counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd cheers as Belvedere lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fukumitsu doesn't seem phased though.

and Belvedere counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fukumitsu tests Belvedere's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fukumitsu shoots in for a takedown but Belvedere shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Belvedere fails to land with a series of punches.
Fukumitsu is looking to counter punch.

Belvedere swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Fukumitsu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Belvedere misses with a series of wild punches.
Fukumitsu looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Fukumitsu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Belvedere counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fukumitsu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Belvedere napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Belvedere gets back to half guard.

Belvedere is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fukumitsu pulls his head out easily.
It looks like Fukumitsu is going to stand back up.
Fukumitsu has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Belvedere works to full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Richmond Belvedere dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Fukumitsu misses with a straight left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Belvedere. Fukumitsu does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fukumitsu gets the takedown into side control.
Belvedere is looking to reverse the position.
Belvedere has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Fukumitsu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Belvedere is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Belvedere is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fukumitsu will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Belvedere wants to control but Fukumitsu is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fukumitsu is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Belvedere asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Richmond Belvedere has got the better of the ground game so far.

Belvedere is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fukumitsu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Belvedere has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Belvedere creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Richmond Belvedere showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Belvedere throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fukumitsu sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Fukumitsu darts in looking for a takedown but Belvedere gets double underhooks and turns Fukumitsu into the cage.
Belvedere is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Fukumitsu with a body shot.
Fukumitsu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Belvedere gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Fukumitsu regains guard.

Richmond Belvedere comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Belvedere has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
