Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Suzaku Kururugi (ranked 4167 p4p, 23864 weight class) and LaMango Ball (ranked 541 p4p, 754 weight class). Ball has chosen Chief Keef - Appreciation as his entrance music. LaMango Ball will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Suzaku Kururugi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, LaMango Ball!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Ball.
Kururugi dodges the punch combination from Ball.
Ball throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ball scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ball uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kururugi.
Sloppy strikes from Ball. Those never looked like landing.
Ball doesn't manage to clinch there - Kururugi circles away.
Ball throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kururugi.
Kururugi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ball misses with the combination.
Ball is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ball will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kururugi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ball.
Ball looks to throw the jab but Kururugi is out of range.
Ball fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kururugi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ball on the side of the head.

It looks like LaMango Ball has been cut.
Kururugi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ball misses with a wild combination.

Ball gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kururugi lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ball.

Ball breaks the clinch.
Kururugi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ball swinging wildly here.
Kururugi misses with a looping right.
Kururugi missing with a left hand there. Ball was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ball misses with a leg kick.
LaMango Ball seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kururugi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kururugi lands a nice looking body shot.
We've been told by Kururugi's head coaches at Deep waters that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kururugi misses with a wild body shot.

Kururugi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ball slips under a jab from Kururugi.
Ball with a hook.
Ball goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Ball swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kururugi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ball misses with a two punch combination.
It looked like Kururugi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ball fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kururugi thuds his shin into the meat of Ball's side.
Ball fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ball misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kururugi misses with a straight left.
Ball swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kururugi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ball walks into a jab.

Ball is rocked!
Ball throws a combination that misses
and Kururugi counters with an inside leg kick.
Ball is still on wobbly legs! Can Kururugi finish him?
Ball looks winded!
Kururugi is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Ball flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ball is out cold! Kururugi holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Suzaku Kururugi!
Suzaku Kururugi tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
