With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ruben Ruiz Mangas!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeVanzo ducks right into an uppercut from Mangas.
DeVanzo misses with a right hand
and Mangas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice defenses there by Mangas.
Mangas only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Mangas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but DeVanzo moves away.
A quick step to the side and DeVanzo tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mangas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mangas throws out a leg kick but DeVanzo moves out of range and Mangas only half commits.
Mangas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mangas takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
DeVanzo is rocked!
DeVanzo throws a body punch but Mangas moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mangas! But no joy.
Mangas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mangas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Artie DeVanzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeVanzo misses with a lunging right hand
letting Mangas counter with a right hand.
Oh DeVanzo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
DeVanzo misses the body punch
and Mangas counters with a big right hand! Oh DeVanzo is in trouble here! Mangas follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
