Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tong Sagat (ranked 5974 p4p, 5891 weight class) and Bruno Ponce (ranked 599 p4p, 594 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ponce's choice of entrance music: Fast Car. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Ponce looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ponce is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sagat works over Ponce's head and body with a nice combination.
Sagat connects with a body shot.
Ponce looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A right-left combo lands from Sagat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ponce closes the distance and clinches up with Sagat, looking for a takedown. Ponce pushes Sagat against the cage but Sagat circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Sagat was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ponce.

Sagat goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sagat will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sagat moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Ponce shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sagat as he avoids it easily.
A left lands for Sagat.
Nice takedown defense from Sagat. No joy for Ponce on that attempt.
Sagat throws a combination. Ponce tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sagat connects with a body shot that sends Ponce's belly button to the back.
Sagat slaps away a takedown attempt from Ponce, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sagat stalks Ponce and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ponce's face. Ponce staggers backwards, shaken.
Ponce is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sagat is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ponce.
Ponce looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sagat is fending him off so far but Ponce persists. Nope, Sagat circles away and we're back to standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sagat fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ponce looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ponce fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sagat avoids it really well and circles away.

Ponce walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Sagat is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ponce can do to turn this around?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ponce manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sagat on his heels. He'll look to pass Sagat's guard now, I'm sure.
Sagat on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sagat tries to get out of the position.

Ponce drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ponce seems to have locked his on tight now - Sagat screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ponce, as he picks up the win!
