Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sukdese Bawles (ranked 3866 p4p, 5763 weight class) and Daithi O Donoghue (ranked 482 p4p, 612 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sukdese Bawles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daithi O Donoghue!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Watson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bawles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bawles stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bawles with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling O Donoghue to score with a decent uppercut.
O Donoghue slips a straight right by Bawles.
A jab lands there for Bawles.
O Donoghue takes a body punch but keeps moving.
O Donoghue is looking to clinch.
A big right from O Donoghue misses.
O Donoghue misses with a straight right.
O Donoghue waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bawles.
Bawles thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jab, jab by O Donoghue - just one landing.
O Donoghue lands a really nice looking cross but Bawles seems unphased.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
O Donoghue lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
O Donoghue missing with a left hand there. Bawles was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bawles looks to throw the jab but O Donoghue is out of range.
O Donoghue ducks under a wild hook from Bawles.

Bawles gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Bawles moves into the clinch successfully.
Bawles misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from O Donoghue.
Bawles blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
O Donoghue fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Bawles wants to get back to striking at distance but O Donoghue won't allow it.
O Donoghue throws a punch but it's blocked by Bawles.
Bawles lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of O Donoghue backwards.

Bawles manages to break the clinch.
O Donoghue looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
O Donoghue tries to clinch up.
O Donoghue might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
O Donoghue moves out of range as Bawles strikes.
Bawles looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
O Donoghue displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bawles throws out the jab.
O Donoghue ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bawles moves away.
Bawles lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
O Donoghue connects with a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bawles misses with a right hand
and O Donoghue counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bawles needs to keep his hands up - O Donoghue had a free shot at his head there.

Bawles is rocked!
O Donoghue measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Bawles! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Daithi O Donoghue!
After the fight, Daithi O Donoghue was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
