Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Swis White (ranked 4441 p4p, 4405 weight class) and Jaakoppi Niskala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Swis White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaakoppi Niskala!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Niskala dives in and scores a takedown into White's guard.
Niskala is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

White had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Niskala defends it easily.
White looking to control.
White might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Niskala sitting in guard here, content to control.
Niskala has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of White is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Niskala is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
White is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Niskala is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Niskala has gone for a leg lock! White slips out almost immediately though and dives into Niskala's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Niskala can do anything to dispel that myth.

Niskala is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Niskala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Niskala looking to hit a scissor sweep but White is one step ahead there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Niskala has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Niskala's legs - danger averted.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Niskala swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
White postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Niskala is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of White, into his guard.

Niskala is looking for a kimura here.
White regains full guard. Nicely done.
Niskala landing with the ground and pound.
Niskala sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed White's guard.

White trying to control but Niskala postures up.
White tries to get to full guard but Niskala has control of the leg.
White is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Niskala in particular looking to stall.

Niskala is looking for a kimura here.

White is looking for a sweep. Niskala is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

White moves in looking to clinch but Niskala pushes him off.

Niskala has White up against the cage in a clinch.

Niskala gets control of White's arms and successfully pulls guard. Niskala will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Niskala is looking for a triangle but White pushes his legs off easily.

White is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Niskala doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time White.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

White looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are battling for position here. Niskala manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Niskala wants to sweep here but White controlling him for the moment.

White lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
White wants to control from the top but Niskala keeps moving.
Niskala wants to stand and escape but White is having none of it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
White blocks a head kick by Niskala.
White swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Niskala shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Niskala showed some decent athleticism there.
White is looking to improve his position.
White definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
White is working hard here to advance position.

Niskala is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Niskala is thwarting White's attempts to control the position.

Jaakoppi Niskala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

White avoids the head kick by Niskala.
White tries to clinch but Niskala moves out of range.
Niskala has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from White finds it's way round the side to connect with Niskala's head.

Niskala closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into White's guard.
Niskala is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
White is trying to keep Niskala in close.
Niskala is stalling in the full guard.

Niskala is working White over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Niskala must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Niskala isn't going anywhere.
Niskala is looking for a sweep.
Swis White has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
White trying to control the action but Niskala is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Niskala dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on White. That did some damage!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
White throws a right and a left that both miss.
And Niskala tries to counter it with a takedown but White pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Niskala darts in and clinches White up against the cage.
White misses with a hook to the ribs.
White jumps guard but Niskala turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Niskala misses with a knee to the head.

Niskala jumps into guard, dragging White to the mat.

Niskala is looking for a triangle but White pushes his legs off easily.
White passes easily into side control. Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jaakoppi Niskala.
I've got Niskala winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
