The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Craven.
Thompson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Craven.
Thompson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Craven scores with a one two! Thompson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Craven throws a right hand that Thompson ducks under and follows up with a left that Thompson also avoids with ease.

Craven sizes up Thompson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Craven has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Craven counters with a single leg into guard. Thompson didn't expect that.
Thompson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Craven manages to get himself to full guard.

Craven has his foot on Thompson 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thompson works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thompson wants to stand up but Craven is controlling him.

Craven drops back looking for a leg! Thompson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thompson manages to kick Craven off! Craven jumps back into Thompson 's guard.

Craven with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee warns Thompson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Thompson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Thompson tries to lock up and control but Craven gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson throws an overhand right that lands on Craven's shoulder, as Craven tries to avoid the shot.
Thompson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Craven cracks Thompson with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Thompson falls to his knees and Craven doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
