Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Hamada (ranked 2448 p4p, 1844 weight class) and Young Prodigy (ranked 316 p4p, 252 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Young Prodigy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryo Hamada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Young Prodigy !
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prodigy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hamada takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Prodigy scores with a hook.
Prodigy misses the shot to the body.
Prodigy tries to close the distance and clinch but Hamada swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hamada has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Hamada swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Prodigy throws a right hand that Hamada ducks under and follows up with a left that Hamada also avoids with ease.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Prodigy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hamada fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Prodigy on the side of the head.
Hamada is looking to land body kicks.
Ryo Hamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prodigy looks to throw the jab but Hamada is out of range.
Hamada looks to land a body kick but Prodigy moved away.
Prodigy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Prodigy takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Hamada looks to land a left hand but Prodigy moved out of range nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hamada misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hamada takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Prodigy lands with an overhand left.
Hamada moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Prodigy gets caught napping as Hamada dives in and scores a takedown. Prodigy manages to retain guard.
Prodigy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hamada defends well.

Prodigy wants to sweep here but Hamada controlling him for the moment.
Prodigy looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hamada is defending well. Prodigy quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hamada has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Prodigy celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
