PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Apollodoros Kondos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paolo Tataglia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tataglia has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. On his way into the cage it seems that Apollodoros Kondos has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Apollodoros Kondos seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kondos feints and as Tataglia raises his hands in defense, Kondos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tataglia looks gassed!
Kondos throws a big right hand that misses.
Kondos's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Tataglia keeping moving, preventing Kondos from controlling successfully.

Kondos trying to control but Tataglia is working from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kondos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kondos tries to bum rush Tataglia with a series of wild strikes but Tataglia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Kondos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kondos throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kondos misses with a few strikes there.
Tataglia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tataglia looks for a takedown but Kondos sprawls well.
Tataglia is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tataglia moves away from the strike by Kondos.
Tataglia tries to close the distance and clinch but Kondos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kondos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tataglia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kondos.

Tataglia avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tataglia looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kondos misses with a low kick as Tataglia jumps back.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kondos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
