The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Andrade or perhaps it was just good defense by Mellios, which made it look bad.
Andrade fails with the takedown.
A clash of legs there as Andrade blocks the low kick.
Andrade wants to clinch but Mellios slips to the side

so Mellios counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mellios wants to control from the top but Andrade keeps moving.
Mellios pushes down on Andrade's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Still in half guard, Mellios seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
