Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vittor Lia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Grapple!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lia on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Grapple takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Grapple lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lia. Grapple does a little dance to reset his feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Grapple.
Grapple changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Grapple looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Grapple connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Grapple cracks a nice hook into Lia's ribs.
Grapple lands a big right hand that sends Lia crashing to the mat! Grapple stays standing though and waves Lia back to his feet!
Lia is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lia swings for the body but Grapple moves out of range.
Oh Lia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lia throws a lazy uppercut
and Grapple counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Lia out cold! What a finish! Grapple is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Johnny Grapple!
After winning the bout, Johnny Grapple thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
