Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zygimantas Svidrauskas (ranked 2141 p4p, 2412 weight class) and Penny Ming (ranked 270 p4p, 300 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Penny Ming was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zygimantas Svidrauskas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Penny Ming! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ming fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ming throws a jab when Svidrauskas was well out of range. Svidrauskas went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Ming scores with a nice head shot. Svidrauskas forces Ming back against the cage and clinches. Svidrauskas scores with a shoulder strike. Ming escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Svidrauskas moves away from the strike by Ming. It looked like Svidrauskas wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Svidrauskas's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Svidrauskas duly obliges. Ming lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ming uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Svidrauskas. Ming tries to clinch but Svidrauskas moves out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ming lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. The fighters circling - Svidrauskas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Svidrauskas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Svidrauskas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ming manages to avoid it. Ming lands a high kick!
Ming throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Svidrauskas's head.
Svidrauskas is rocked! Penny Ming seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ming circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Svidrauskas to the canvas! Svidrauskas doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ming keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Penny Ming!
