Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Je Ha Kim! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley misses with a takedown attempt enabling Kim to counter with a crisp jab. Riley misses with a combination
and Kim moves into the clinch. Kim lands a right hand. Kim throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rileys head. Kim digs a right hand into Riley's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Riley's gas tank. Riley tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Riley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kim works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Still in the clinch, Kim scores with a nice short uppercut. Riley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kim lands with a short head shot on the inside. A short left from Kim. Kim lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kim lands a body shot. Kim will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Riley up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim lands a nice uppercut. Riley is looking to control Kim's arms but Kim gets an underhook and turns him. Now Riley has his back to the cage. Riley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kim walks away with a smile on his face. Riley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Riley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riley off to one side. Riley is breathing heavily. Kim throws a lazy uppercut
and Riley counters with a stiff right hand. Ron Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riley gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Je Ha Kim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kim lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Kim throws a right hand that Riley ducks under and follows up with a left that Riley also avoids with ease. Kim rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Riley counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim throws a hook but Riley avoids it easily. Kim pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Riley wants to clinch up but Kim keeps it at a distance. Kim wants to counter the offense by Riley and move into the clinch position. Kim jabs Riley to the body, keeping him at a distance. Riley on the wrong end of a nice jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kim connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Riley tries to clinch but Kim moves away and Kim counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kim lands a lovely overhand right. Some wild striking there from Riley.
Kim swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Je Ha Kim dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Riley darts in trying to clinch and Kim counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Riley thinking. Riley throws a lazy body kick and Kim counters with a lovely shot to the body. Je Ha Kim seems to be getting the better of the standup. Riley throws a poor cross that misses
letting Kim counter with a right hand. Kim swats away the attempt to clinch by Riley. Kim is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Riley defending well as Kim loads up on a big left hand. Riley tries for a takedown but Kim circles away easily and Kim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley fails with the takedown and Kim counters with a stiff right hand. Riley closes the distance and clinches up with Kim, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes Kim against the cage but Kim circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kim has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ron Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice body punch from Kim. Kim drops Riley with a beautiful combination! Riley stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kim is looking for the KO!
Riley is rocked! Kim finds Riley's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Riley flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Kim lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Riley will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Je Ha Kim! Our winner, Je Ha Kim, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
