Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heitor Machado (ranked 1495 p4p, 839 weight class) and Full Time Panda (ranked 52 p4p, 26 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heitor Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Full Time Panda!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Ben Watson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machado closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Panda's guard.
Machado stands up out of Panda's guard for a moment - Panda manages to land a nice upkick.
Panda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Machado tries to pass the half guard into mount. Panda knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Machado is taking a breather. Panda says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Machado is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Panda wants to sweep but no luck.
Machado has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Panda throws a jab but it's blocked by Machado.
Panda's coach down at IMMAC Training Facility™ ($50/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Panda's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Machado lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Panda looks to score with a jab to the body but Machado is just out of range.
Panda fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Machado manages to avoid it.
Machado is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Panda.
Panda just misses with a punch to the body.

Machado tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Panda defends well and Machado ends up having to push Panda into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Machado moves away from the strike by Panda.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Machado tries to score a power double leg takedown but Panda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machado somewhat.
Full Time Panda is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Panda throws a shot from downtown. Machado moves away and avoids it.
Machado slips a straight right by Panda.

Machado is looking to clinch but Panda is avoiding it.
A nice side step and Panda releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Panda swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Machado.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Full Time Panda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Machado changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

That's time! Machado's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Machado shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Panda as he jumps to the side.

It looks like Heitor Machado has been cut.
Panda throws a body shot but no joy.
Heitor Machado is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Machado misses with a series of wild punches.
Panda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machado moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Machado closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Panda to the mat! Panda manages to get full guard.

Machado has gone for a leg lock! Panda slips out almost immediately though and dives into Machado's guard.

Machado will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Panda is striking off his back. Machado thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Panda wants to sweep here but Machado controlling him for the moment.

Machado is looking to take a break and control but Panda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Machado is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That was a close second round but I would say that Heitor Machado will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Panda cracks Machado with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Panda has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Machado to stand back up!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Panda tries to kick Machado off but Machado keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Panda has a hand on Machado's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Machado takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Panda is in a horrible position here. Machado smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Panda sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Panda wants to improve his position but Machado is controlling well.

Panda wants to control but Machado is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Panda tries to roll over but Machado keeps him under control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I would just about give that final round to Full Time Panda.
I think Panda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
